Oil Prices

Why is it that when we see gasoline for less than $2.50 a gallon, we still feel like we’re getting a bargain?

It wasn’t THAT long ago when the price at the pump was under $2.00 a gallon, but the image which sticks in the mind of the consumer is that of the prices inching up towards the $3.00/gallon mark. When the oil companies reported their offensively -and obnoxiously -high profits for the past quarter, the general furor in reaction lasted all of about 20 minutes. Seems to me that the people who are REALLY running this country aren’t politicians at all but rather are the Oil Execs and the NRA. Regardless of what is going on in the world or in our country, these are the people who are still able to call the shots (no pun intended) which serve their own agendas.
