Does anyone have any opinions or experience with the Fisher-Paykel
DishDrawers?

I was going to do an Asko in the home we're building, but like the idea of
being able to do a half load, since I have a small child and a lot of sippy
cups to wash.

My builder said the Fisher-Paykel Drawers will have less capacity that the
regular-style dishwasher.  Does anyone know if this is true?  When I looked
at them, they appeared to be very roomy.

Also, I was reading on Epinions that several people were disappointed with
their drying--or lack of drying and their cleaning capabilities, saying that
you need to wash your dishes first.  Does anyone else share this opinion?

The only person I know who has the FP drawers loves them and has no
complaints, so I don't know which opinions to go with.  I wash a lot of
dishes, so this is a very important decision for us.

Thanks in advance,
Annie

.....but does Bosch make DishDrawers?  I don't think they do.

I compared Bosch and Asko and Bosch has had many people complain of having
to dry their dishes after they are dried....so you haven't had any problems
with that?

Thanks for your input,
Annie

problems

Annie, I do not know where that poor drying idea comes from but, my top of
the
line Bosch washes at 160 degrees. As soon as I open the
door when the cycle is finished, the dishes dry within seconds from
evaporation.
They are literally too hot to handle and very very dry. I have never had wet
dishes at the end of a cycle,
even when I'm not around to open the door, they dry quickly. The poor drying
may be on lower end units
or older Bosch dishwashers? My machine also
does top rack only wash which would accommodate your sippy cup loads nicely.

I haven't used one myself but you might consider that if it ever had to be
replaced in the future, you would either have to purchase another one (if
still available at that time) or remodel your cupboards to accept a normal
dishwasher design.

I have heard from the technician which services them whom said that once
you're familiar with the design, they are fairly simple to repair.
