I am looking into getting a water softener/iron removal system for my
home.
Basically, my numbers are as follows:
CaCO3: 248 mg/l,
HCO3: 254 mg/l,
iron: 1.9 mg/l,
manganese: 0.253 mg/l,
potassium: 2.9 mg/l,
sodium: 11.1 mg/l,
ph: 7.09,
the water's appearance is clear, and after a while turns a pale
yellowish brown color.
I live in the north/eastern part of Ontario, Canada and am on a 1 year
old drilled well. There are three people and three bathrooms in our
household, I would like to know if I were to use the following
products, if they would do the job to get rid of the iron and hardness
of my water?
I am looking at two systems:
1. Self installed: ($1200.00-1500.00 CDN Plus plumbing expenses)GXSF39E
water Softener & GXWH35F Household Filtration system by General
Electric from local Home Depot.
2. Professionally installed: ($3000.00 CDN) Waterright ASC2-1054
Sanitizer Series single softener and iron remover combined from local
Water Softener retailer/installer.
Anyone out there that has had any experience with these systems, good
or bad, please reply.
