We live in Southern California. Until our pest-control person retired, we had
it done outside about every three months.
A new pest-control company has recommended that we have a monthly service.
Maybe I'm wrong, but every month seems to me to be "overkill". I would
appreciate suggestions about how often would be appropriate.
Thanks.

Perhaps it depends on the type of pest and whether it's general maintenance
or dealing with a larger issue, but my provider recommends once every 3
months, and that's for general outside spraying and also around the
baseboards and windows on the inside. This is for insect control
(particularly spiders and deterrent to wasps/hornets), not for rodents.
