out.  The length of the pipe (about 65 feet) and btu demand of the pool heater
(250K), the charts say I need 1 inch pipe. I have:

143-80, 1/8 orifice,5-8.5wc spring),  3/4" pipe from regulator to and through
meter(american meter co. ac-250 cfh@ 1/2" Diff), 3/4"into house.

The building codes differ from area to area.  I had to make changes
to the my gas piping in order to add a gas stove.  By talking with the
stove vendor, my building department, and the local gas company office
I was able to get all of my questions answered.  I needed a new meter,
a pressure regulator at the house entrance, and larger pipes to my gas
furnace.  I ended up only paying for installation of the larger pipes.
The gas company gave me a new meter and the regulator.  Finding the
right people and getting the needed information was the key.  In order
to complete the permit I had to perform a 60LB pressure test on the
gas line from the street to the house.  I plugged the gas line on the
house side and attached a strader valve with gauge on the street side.
I added compressed air and waited for the inspector to come by.
