The Web site for the local dealership where we bought all our
appliances says that it weighs 125 pounds.

Is that with the box? I sure dont want to wait till next thusday for it.
My front loading washing broke. The rear bearings went out after only 3
years. I got a ton of cloths to wash.
I hope this top loader will last longer then that.

No.
And, our appliances were all uncrated and inspected before they were
delivered; I'd expect you'd want the same.
Besides, I can't imagine a washing machine coming from your dealier
in a 600 pound shipping container.
Take the number 717, assume it's millimeters, and you get about 28";
are you sure somebody didn't look at the wrong column of the display
and give you one of the washer's dimensions rather than its weight?

They might have. I asked the sales person. how could it weigh 717
pounds? She said stainless steel is heavy. should would like see someone
carrying a 717 pound washer up the steps here. I will go try to pick it
up if they let me. I already paid to have it delivered next Thursday.
They have a 2 week delivery rate Because there so busy.
