Does anyone get any discount anywhere with the
AARP

It provides a nice added discount with on-line reservations at many
Choice motels (Comfort, etc), although I've never been asked to present
the card upon check-in.

Most major chain motels offer a discount for AAA or AARP membership.
Some ask to see the card.

AARP gets a large fee for pushing their discount partner. I
requested an auto insurance quote, their discount rate was
$1400 per 6 months. I was paying State Farm $550 for the
same coverage. But since that put me in the shopping mood,
I switched to Geico for $350, again, exact same
cars/term/driver! Oh, I did get a free calculator, with a
bad keyboard, but maybe they used that to get the outrageous
quote ;-)
Also, I got junk mail for every remedy for every male
affliction that could be conjured up. I could have heated
my house for the whole winter with that paper mass!
Save your money, get your good deals on the net instead.

I used to ask "Do you give JPL discounts?" at places like auto parts stores.
I never said I was actually entitled to one, but I always got them.

STRESS MANAGEMENT
Picture yourself near a stream.
Birds are singing in the crisp, cool mountain air.
Nothing can bother you here.
No one knows this secret place.
You are in total seclusion from
that place called the world.
The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall
fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
The water is crystal clear.
You can easily make out the face of the person
whose head you're holding under the water.
