Basically what the article is saying is "frugal is the new black".
However, Hollywood and rock star types have always "slummed" it by
getting unique duds at vintage (aka Thrift) stores.  And "rich" people
didn't get that way by spending their money.  Ever see that commercial
where the guy is mowing his yard, showing off all his "stuff" and ends
it with "I'm up to my eyeballs in debt" (with a strained smile)?
Those are the ones who are "spending".

Did you hear my "Compassion for the Rich" rant?
They are a minority that suffers. Sometimes they wonder if their friends
are just hangers on. And of course they have to worry about someone
taking their "shi..er stuf"
Preliminary research anyway.
I'll need a lot of money to find how they really live.

they didn't give a chance to the poor people..
