I am hoping to find one that:

- When I start to sit in it, I can feel a slightly sinking feeling
into something soft and comfortable,

- Over time, I feel as if I am floating.

And of course, the cheaper the better.

Any recommendations?

You want one with dense foam, not the crappy lightweight foam the cheap chairs
have. You just have to sit in them to tell the difference.  Costco had a couple
of decent chairs in the $200-$300 range, but I'd like a smaller one.

I got a fantastic Cramer chair at a yard sale for $35.  Brand new, and possibly
defective (factory second, maybe) because some of the controls stopped working
pretty quickly, but aside from that it's perfect.  Not sure which one it is
(they all look pretty much the same now, but possibly a Triton or Rhino), but
when I looked it up a couple of years ago the price was $750.

Second on the thick foam.  And the best I've had are the old ones
picked up at the rummage stores.
Family bought me a cheap new one at the retail store  - maybe $200 -
as a gift and I spent maybe 5 minutes in it.  Gave it to the son who
had a hand in picking it.  Oh, he's a sly one, ain't he?

I emailed the company after I posted this.  I got an email back this morning
suggesting that it might need a new <thingy> and asking if my chair had a
serial number.

Hard to beat customer service like that!

That's the kid who gave his mom a baseball mitt for her birthday, right?
