However, one of the locat TV stations seems to like it:

Bear in mind that anything like this needs a smooth, solid surface
to attach to.

I don't think the TV station has much imagination.
A bath tile is a smooth solid surface. But it's only held on by thin
set that might be weak from the get go, or degraded by water.
You need screws in a joist.
I'm really a bit surprised it's advertised the way it is.
Maybe there's a disclaimer on the back of the package.
"Not intended for baths/showers or supporting human weight."
"Injury may result if misused."
