My car insurance gives me a 10% discount if I pay monthly and sign up
for automatic EFT payment. That saves me considerably more than the
added monthly service fee. (Saves about $10/month, monthly fee is $2.)
BUT, just because I'm signed up for monthly EFT doesn't mean I have to
pay monthly and pay the monthly fee. In any month that my account has a
credit balance, there is no monthly fee. So even though I'm signed up
for monthly EFT to get the 10% discount, I can still pay ahead and avoid
the $2 fee each month, too.

I really doesn't matter what others do. I just thought it might be of
interest to ask what others do. After all usenet was created for the
purpose of exchanging ideas.
