Out of curiosity, how do you arrange your bookmarks or favorites
(depending upon the browser you use) for efficient access?

I have a few frequently accessed groups of bookmarks (I use Firefox)
with one rather large catch-all Misc group that has another 14 groups
and about twice that in individual links.

When I last checked, using IE, I had something over 1400 Favorites (it's
easy to check with IE, check the properties of the Favorites
folder--each Favorite is saved in a separate file, so the number of
files == number of Favorites).

Using Firefox, all bookmarks are in one file--mine is currently almost
1.4MB; I'd guess I'm well past 2500 links.

Has anyone come up with a design or system for categorizing links, or
heard of any such system?

My reasons for posting here are that frugal people usually like to be
frugal with time and resources, as well as wanting to keep up with more
ways to do things than the average consicuous consumer (and therefore be
likely to have more links).

Comments?

With the ones I use a lot, I put them in folders in the links toolbar in IE8.

With the ones I dont use as often, I dont organise them at all, search for the
one I want using the XP search pointing that search at the favorites folder.

Yes, I setup the categorys manually.
