Looks like the party is over at Citibank.  I just got a notice in the
mail today that as of Oct 13, 2006, the cashback on gas, groceries and
drugstore purchases with their Platinum Dividend card falls from 5% to
2%.  Bummer.

I haven't gotten the dreaded notice yet, but mine's probably in the mail.

Check out the Citi Drivers Edge Platinum Select. It says they're offering 6%
for a year on gas, groceries and drugstore purchases; 1% on all others. I
didn't read all the fine print, but there's no annual fee and a 20 day grace
period on new purchases.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

We received the same mail. This happened right after we complained
about an overdraft charge because of their mistake. Does it happen to
all the old customers or just targeted customers? I see their site
still advertises 5%.

Please post your experience.

Thanks,

AFAIK, I've done nothing to upset them, other than paying off my
balance every month and maxing out the cashback bonus each year.

Hard to imagine that they would maintain different terms on the same
card with different customers.
