Can anyone tell me how Picasa compares to other similar free or cheap
software?
I really like the search function of Picasa and I also like the photo
editing functions.
Overall, I have been very pleased with Picasa and use it more than the
Adobe and Kodak and Arcsoft programs that came with my digital
cameras.

For photo editing, Advance JPEG Compressor is great for making files
smaller, making thumbnails of any size, and cropping, but it isn't
free.

For just quick re-sizing to make files smaller to send in email or for
the web, the free Windows Picture Resizer (I'm not sure of the exact
name) that integrates into XP is awesome - fast and easy.

But for an overall picture handler, editor, and searcher, Picasa is
great. I'm curious if there are others which might be even better than
Picasa.
