Not a cent on corned beef. It has too much saturated fat as well as
the sodium. Try to cook off the fat and the price just doubles as
what you purchased shrinks. I grind up almonds and walnuts and use
beans to add protein.

Once a year probably won't kill you. Besides, the cabbage and carrots you cook
with it provide enough virtue to counteract the evil of the corned beef.

Some might call that adulteration...
One year Costco sold off their excess corned beef the week after StPaddysDay
for $2/package. It freezes well.
