People have always had a dystopic view of the future. Somehow it feels
reasonable to us, even though history has shown that quality of life has
nearly always improved over the years. Governments have come and gone, but
people have always adapted with great resourcefulness.
"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with
the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present." -
Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (121-180 A.D.)
