No, he accepted a check from someone (call him dick). He cashed the check
at dick's bank, when he guessed correctly that the money would be there.
Later, dick called him to complain that he actually DARED to cach dick's

No, dick would have been perfectly happy if he had cached dick's
check. Dick got upset when he cashed it.
