i prefer coca cola rather than pepsi maybe because of the gases..
>If you want a rock bottom priced soda, try home-made root beer.
Since I put together my keg system for beer, I've also started making
and kegging root beer for my kids. One advantage is that you can tune
the amount of sugar (cane sugar, not HFCS) and flavor extract to your
taste. A disadvantage is that you can't just count cans to gauge how
much soda your kids are drinking.
Anyway, for a 4.5 gallon batch, it takes 1 bottle of extract (many
different flavors available, about US$5 ea.) and 7-8 cups of sugar.
Also some yeast if you are bottling, but I keg it and use CO2 to force
carbonate.
