Thanks everyone.  After reading  the posts. I wondered what was the
smallest screwdriver I had and it was one of those in the little packs
to replace screws in your eye glasses.
       Here's the deal...I have a bunch of novelty watches that are just
fun watches.

But you guys were right...with all of them so-far...I had to train my
eye, to find that one little notch, that you could pry it open with.  It
may be my imagination, but it appeared that the manufacturers usually
placed  it slightly to the right of the stem, as you are looking at the
back.

   No scratches and the little screw-driver held up. I was afraid it was
not tempered enough to pry, but it was for this project.
      

Frugal is as frugal does..so to speak. And I could not see paying
someone to replace a battery.  Just as I could not see paying someone to
cut my own hair. And I have been doing that for almost 5 years now.
