Hi,

I am a novice cook and have limited skills when it comes to cooking,
as I am newly widowed.

I am looking for a site that can provide me with EASY and QUICK ways
to cook chicken legs etc., with a minimum of effort.

Some people have a low opinion of cooks.com and am seeking an
alternate site.

Your input for better recipe sites would greatly be appreciated.

Thamks.

One of my favorite ways to cook chicken legs is easy and quick. You take
four or five chicken legs and sear them in a hot non-stick pan with a
bit of olive oil until the skin turns a golden brown. This takes just a
few minutes. I then lower the flame and pour in enough tomato sauce
(from a jar) to reach about halfway up the chicken legs. I then spoon
some of the sauce on top of the legs, sprinkle with garlic powder,
freshly ground pepper, and a pinch or two of dried oregano. I cover the
pan and let the legs simmer for ten minutes, then I turn the legs over
in the pan, spoon some of the sauce on the legs, cover the pan and let
the legs simmer for another 20 minutes or so until they are fork tender.
this goes great over pasta or steamed rice with a green salad and some
garlic bread.

This is a pretty good site.  It explains things as well as gives you
recipes.
