Why not open a business that diverts left over building supplies?
That's what some people did near here.
They worked in construction and noticed how much left over wood went to
the dump.
They charge less than the dump , sort and sell stuff like;
short 2X's , not quite full sheets of plywood, etc.
they even gave us some firewood.
what do ya say?

The Reuze Building Centre has been open in Toronto for quite a few
years.
I don't know if they have a web site but there is information on them
on the web.
