Anyone have any suggestions/comments
on building an earth-sheltered home
or know where I can find some good information on it?

Well, check out your area for Radon Gases.
and flooding.
and; I don't think earth covered roofs are cost effective. Too heavy and
any "insulation" qualities would be negated by saturation with water.
But, otherwise they look good, esp. in the tornado belt.
Might be a good idea to face them south.
I saw a book on "Underground Homes" I'll look for it.

It's amazing what you can do. If...
you put your mind to it.
