I'm talking the Duracell brand, AA or AAA. The best pricing I can
find comes out to about $.40 a battery.

Last time I bought AA Energizer batteries at Sam's Club, in bulk, it
worked out to about $0.17 each. I don't tend to buy Duracell so I
can't help with best price there.

I can get 4 Panasonics AA for $0.98 so that's about $0.25/battery. I
find them at local 99 cent only stores.
Sam's have them for $0.17/pcs? Woow. I don't go to Sam's, but if
Sam's have them then I think Costco have them too. I need to check.
17 cents is cheap.

But make sure what you're getting: Some off brands don't last very
long. Personally, I stick to Duracell most of the time, but have
trouble finding them for less than .50/each.

Are they alkaline batteries? In my experience the really cheap, non
alkaline ones are incredibly short-lived.
