Our local dollar store is called Dollarama.  They just opened up this
summer.  We never had anything like it before.  Everything is $1 or
less.  We had "dollar" stores before but they had all kinds of prices.
The one across the street now has imitation LaCoste polo shirts for
$39.99!
Six weeks after Dollarama opened up 8 of the employees won the Lotto
649.  They each got $1.3 million.

The winning ticket was worth $10.8 million.  Lottery winnings are not
taxable in Canada and you receive all the money in one lump sum.

I like Dollar Tree.  I did go to the Dollar Store when I had
my old clunker that leaked about a quart of oil a week.  They
had oil for $75 cents.

Good deals at Dollar Tree

Snyders pretzels
USB cable
two back Fuit of the Loom pocket Tees
six pack of Wrigleys gum
Progresso Soup
Hard back books

Lot of cheap junk too. I buy the dollar headphones but
they don't seem to last longer than a month.
