Hello,
Got a family member who commutes to atlanta each day and
would need to use his cell phone to make no more than 3 calls
a day, each of 1 min duration.
Currently, I'm paying for his TracFone. The problem is that you need
to keep buying airtime cards every 3mos and occasionally he experiences
a dead zone and we can't communicate with him.
What would be the best plan for him? Assuming no more than 60 mins
of cell phone use per month.
I know virgin mobile has lower per month rates, but is the service
pretty reasonable?
Thanks much!

it uses the sprint network. so if sprint works well there, virgin will
too. its 25 cents/min for the first 10 mins, so those 3 calls will cost
75 cents/day.
ive had em for years and been happy with em, but i dont have high
expectations. theyre good enough for me.
if i had to pick a "regular" service, id use verizon. all the verizon
users i know seem to get a strong signal just about anywhere

Wonder why there's no mention of CallPlus...

Good question. $3.33/month and I have 433 minutes banked. No way I'll
ever use those up before TDMA goes belly up.

I have both T-Mobile to Go and Page Plus. I think T-Mobile is a bit
better costwise. You might try posting at Howardforums.com. the group
for "pre-paid" can help you out quite a bit.
