That's a 65,000 mile treadwear warranty.

As for the other stuff, I would agree that it was unlikely to have
been a manufacturing defect.  There's a whole lot of stuff that a tire
manufacturer can't reasonably cover under warranty.

Ok, you didn't bother to read what the warranty actually covered.

The dealer/manufacturer doesn't owe you anything, as far as I can see.
You have to buy at least one new tire. Front tires should match, so you
can either buy two new tires for the front and have a used spare, or
move the rear tire/wheel assemblies to the front, move the right front
to the right rear, and put a new matching tire on the left rear.

Personally, I'd put two new one on the front. That may be beyond your
budget, though. Your shop shouldn't charge extra for swapping the rears
to the front.
