I use an At&T's prepaid calling card but it has an unfortunate limit of
only allowing 6 rings when I call someone.  The problem this causes is
that many of my friends have cell phones and phone answering machines
that don't go to voicemail until 6 or more rings and so I am unable to
leave a message.  I think I pay 3.5 cents per minute with no activation
fees.

I am wondering if anyone knows of other calling cards that do not have
this problem.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Mike

I have used onesuite.com for years and been very happy with it. 2.9c per
minute if you use an 800 number, 2.5c per minute if you are fortunate
enough to have a local number to dial, 55c FCC-mandated surcharge if you
use Onesuite from a pay phone.

Hi Melinda,

Don't forget that you can set up multiple phone numbers for PIN-less,
(I've forgotten what they call it), use.

What is this PIN-less thing you speak of?

Hi Marsha,

More people from SMT :-)

Normally when you use an 800-number type of long distance service, you
have to key in your PIN so they can validate your account and then you
enter the number you wish to call. OneSuite allows you to enter a list
of phone numbers that are to be associated with your account and when
someone calls from one of those numbers, they don't have to enter a
PIN, but only enter the number they wish to dial.

I did this with my out-of-state daughter so she could call people from
her home phone. Since I could audit her calls, it was easy to make sure
she was only calling family.
