My local Aldi's store has recently upgraded and expanded their fresh
meat section. They've greatly expanded the number of items--they now
have chicken breasts, ground beef packages under 3lbs, fully cooked
meatloaf and roasts, etc.
Has anyone else Aldi's done this upgrade? If so when did they do it?
Have you tried any of the new products, and if so are they any good?

They did the 2 local stores sometime last year. Unfortunately they chose
to stock the "Walmart Style" adulterated "fresh" meats. Read the labels
and you will see all of the product has been "enhanced"...

The Aldi's where I shop is closed this week for some kind of remodeling, so
maybe they're doing the same thing. In the past I've bought their hamburger
and it seemed fine. I sometimes check the prices on their meat and it
usually doesn't look any cheaper than the weekly specials at the large local
chain--where I know the quality is good and dependable.
Not fresh meat, but Aldi almost always stocks the pre-cooked whole Tyson
roasted chickens for $3.99--a way better price than anywhere else around
here.
