I have had a few Squaretrade warranties, mostly for NEW cellphones
bought on eBay. I do have a Squaretrade warranty for a NEW digital
camera bought from eBay, but I have not needed to file a claim on that
warranty yet (fingers crossed). But I have filed claims for 2
cellphones bought on eBay. Squaretrade was no problem to deal with.
They even pay the shipping costs. They refund the cost you paid for
the item, minus the S & H you paid to the seller. I'm not sure what
all the options are for receiving payment from Squaretrade, but mine
were deposited into my Paypal account. As for refurbished items, I
cannot advise you on that. I can only tell you from my personal
experience with NEW items I bought. Squaretrade was never a problem
for me.
